Researchers got the same results when they repeated the experiment in reverse, asking another set of participants to tap when a W appeared.Are liberals smarter and more accurate, is this what this is saying?

Seems to be suggesting that liberals are less-prone to knee-jerk reactions, they think about things more, and they make less mistakes.

Sounds about right to me.
