Al Gore frontrunner on winning Nobel Peace Prize

Is it just me or is there something wrong with the Nobel Peace Prize if it's given to Al Gore? Not that Al's a bad guy or anything, but how can anyone equate Gore's work with promoting peace? This just doesn't make any sense to me.
