I don't remember where I read it, but this Lawrence Lindsey is not well-respected in the economics arena.

Lawrence Lindsey, George W. Bush's issues adviser in the 1999-2000 run-up to his presidential candidacy, is poised to play a similar role in Fred Thompson's imminent campaign.

But leave it to Fred Flintstone to hire him. He's hired other hacks before.
