The difference between dogs and cats and people

At the base level, we're all animals. It's been said that the difference between man and other animals is that man has the ability to think in spite of his instincts.



I think it's simpler than that.



Dogs and cats (and most other animals) have tails. Man does not.



But the real difference is man knows he has no tail and dogs and cats think they have no tail. This is why they chase it.



That, to me, is the biggest difference between man and animal.
