"Most Serverely Wounded" soldier's family hopes to cope, help

'Most severely wounded' soldier endures: blind, quadriplegic, struggling to breathe - International Herald Tribune

This story will fail to move only the evil. It's a sad story about a soldier, shot in the back of the head at point-blank range, at 20 years old. Now, he's 24, living at home, if you can call his plight living.

He cannot eat or breathe on his own, is paralyzed from the neck down, cannot speak.

All because George Bush, Dick Cheney, and Donald Rumsfeld wanted to wage war against an illusory enemy.

My god, this war sucks.

There are many sad things about this story. Jay's injuries. His parents' caring and coping with him.

But to me, the saddest part is that there are many more "Jays" out there who've lost their lives, either by death or incapacity --

I hate this f--cking war and everybody who wanted it, supports it, and continues to praise our President's "fortitude" in pursuing it to its "end."

I'm going to go cry somewhere now.
